Are you joining in the conversation?
Can you even hear the conversation?
Well that’s odd.
Because we posted engaging posts on Twitter.
We branded all our images on Facebook.
We asked questions and added polls on Google+.
So are you sure you can’t see or hear this amazing conversation we’re having?
Conversations happen every single second on social networks, but only a tiny fraction involve brands.
We have to accept that social media channels are, on the whole, another way to broadcast information and entertainment.
That doesn’t make social media any less necessary, any less of an opportunity, or reduce the need for brands to be any less responsive in replying to people.
It’s high treason to say it, but let’s drop the illusion of ‘conversations’ and get on with entertaining, informing and selling through great content.
